The Better Hearing and Speech Open House and Reception held at the Rite Aid Information Commons was a success! The event brought in new faces who had never been here before (we gave a few impromptu tours for the fun of it!)

We ran out of our mini-croissantwiches and pinwheels (but not the sugary sodas, which is a good sign?) and gave out a ton of tickets for the $25 Amazon Gift Card raffle at the end of the month. Everyone is still eligible for the raffle (including faculty and staff) … just come by and take the hearing-sounds quiz, color a coloring page, or check out a book in our display! A special thanks goes to Cassie and Kate, who put in great effort to help make this a fun and rewarding event!

Here are some more photos from the event for your enjoyment!

The IC’s resources on hearing and speech disorders were showcased in our book display, which featured eBook cases and fliers containing online access links. It really wowed them!

We created eBook displays using DVD boxes and printed book covers to slide in the plastic. Then, we created a small insert flyer that lists goo.gl shorturls to the ebooks with the proxyurl built in. Instant access!
